Mad River is a sports bar on Main Street in Manayunk that’s popular among partiers and sports fans alike. McFadden’s is a popular party spot in Old City with great specials throughout the week. On Thursday, if you buy a wristband for $10 at the door, select drafts and house cocktails cost only a quarter from 9 p.m. to noon. Do the math, and that’s four drinks for only $1. Pre-game during its happy hour, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and enjoy half price appetizers and drinks.
McGillin’s Olde Ale House

Since it opened the year Abraham Lincoln was elected president in 1860, McGillin’s Olde Ale House has the distinction of being the “longest continually operating tavern in Philadelphia.” It’s one of the more popular Irish pubs around and for good reason. Specials on pitchers and drinks are offered daily. Come in on a Thursday for $3 margaritas, $6.50 pitcher of PBR and $7.75 pitchers or Bud light, Miller Lite or Yuengling Light. Enjoy your drink while viewing the open mic night, held on the 2nd floor at 9 p.m.
