1 Tippling Place, like many speakeasies in the city, has an unmarked entrance and can be hard to find. To find it, head to 20th and Chestnut and look for Spice Ends – it is right next door. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday (it's closed on Monday) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and there's even a late-night Sunday version from 10 p.m. to midnight. This cozy bar serves its cocktails with pristine quality and strength. Certain cocktails are $1 to $2 off and its Fish House Punch is only $5.

The Crow & the Pitcher is new to the Rittenhouse area, having opened just last spring. This cozy gastropub is serving happy hour Tuesday to Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the specials include $4 beer, $6 wine, $4 small plates and $5 cocktails. Sip your cocktail while enjoying a cheese platter in its rustic dining room. And, if you decide to stay for dinner, you won't be disappointed – try the braised pork shank.

Jerry's Bar

At Jerry's Bar, take $2 off drafts, wines and cocktails during its happy hour (Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) and enjoy small plates for only $6. Its cocktail offerings are classic, inventive and some of the best in the Northern Liberties section. Its food only uses the freshest, seasonal and house-made ingredients and, if you're a whiskey drinker, you'll be impressed with its selection.

The London Grill
2301 Fairmount Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19130
(215) 978-4545

The London Grill has been a bar since 1843, although it has gone through several name changes and owners. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is its consistently serving a great drink and today London Grill has one of the best cocktail happy hours in the Art Museum District. The specials are also during the usual Monday through Friday happy hour, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., but this place also has happy hour on Saturday (from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and Sunday (from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.). Cocktails range from $3 to $5 at this laid-back pub and, during the week, small bites (like mini fish 'n chips and mini meatballs) are only $3.
