Coronavirus Pennsylvania: Former State Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell Released From Jail Early Due In Part To Crowding Concerns

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Pennsylvania State Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell has been released from jail. She was granted early parole and is on house arrest, in part because of crowding concerns at the jail amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Johnson-Harrell pleaded guilty to stealing $500,000 from a charity she founded to lead a lavish lifestyle.

Her original term was set to end in May.
