PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — He’s been a stand out player so far for the Philadelphia Union, and he is the guest this week on the KYW Philly Soccer Show. Midfielder Warren Creavalle talks with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and CBS 3’s Kevin Kinkead.

Creavalle came to the team last year when Philadelphia traded right back Sheanon Williams to Houston Dynamo. He played sparingly at the end of the season, but has been an integral part of the Union’s strong midfield so far this season, shuttle between offensive and defensive roles.

Creavalle returned to the field in last week’s 2-1 loss at Seattle Sounder’s after serving a one game suspension for picking up a second yellow card in the loss against Chicago. He talked about the increase in cards and sendings off so far in this MLS season and how it is affecting how players play.

We then have a little fun with him, as Kevin quizzes Warren on some trivia about his native Atlanta, Georgia.

Then, Kevin and Greg look back at the Union’s loss at Seattle. For the second straight road game, the team went down a man after a player got a second yellow card in the game. This time Roland Alberg was sent to the showers after delivering a hard tackle. Despite the loss, Philly is still off to a strong start as they sit in second place in the East with 9 points in the standings.
