Notorious B.O.B. Wins Wing Bowl 25

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  For the first time in 20 years a local contestant won Wing Bowl!   Notorious B.O.B. took top place eating 409 wings.

There were 10,000 wings to be had at Wing Bowl 25. Mo Train took 5th place, Oink Oink came in 4th, U.S. Male 3rd, and  Tiger Wings and Things came in 2nd.

Notorious B.O.B., 50, says he was relieved to finally reach the top of the competitive eating world. He says this contest is the one he dreamed of winning since being a little kid since he is from the area.

"I've won a lot of contests all over the world, but this the one that anybody from the Philadelphia area dreams of winning when they're little kids," Notorious B.O.B told 94WIP after winning Wing Bowl 25 on Friday morning. "This is it, this is my day. I'm just gonna close my eyes and try to remember this experience."

He is only the 3rd Pennsylvania resident to win Wing Bowl and he cares about the history of the event.

Notorious B.O.B. says he can name the competitors that partake the event year over year and he considers them all heroes.  "You can really appreciate what it must have taken Heavy Kevy to win," is what Notorious B.O.B.  told the WIP mid-day show.

He says burgers are the easiest thing for him to eat and he's seen past victories eating 20 pounds of grits and lots of chowder!

Last year Notorious B.O.B. came in 3rd  and Molly Schuyler won with 429 wings! Schuyler had her own competitions this year separate from the main event and cleaned up at both:
