Molly Schuyler Wins Wing Bowl 24

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- John Chaney vs. John Calipari. St. Joe's vs. Villanova. Eric Lindros vs. Bobby Clarke. Santa Claus vs. Eagles fans. Everyone vs. the Philadelphia Parking Authority.

Now, you can add Patrick Bertoletti vs. Molly Schuyler to the pantheon of the all-time great Philadelphia rivalries.

For the second time in three years, Molly Schuyler won 94WIP's Wing Bowl 24 on Friday morning at the Wells Fargo Center, eating 429 wings.

Bertoletti finished with 408 wings.

For the third straight year, Bertoletti and Schuyler finished first and second in the popular Philadelphia wing eating contest. Once again, it was a photo finish.

Last year, Bertoletti out-ate Schuyler 444 to 440 to win Wing Bowl 23. In 2014, Schuyler was the champ, eating 363 wings to Bertoletti's 356.

After the first half of Friday's Wing Bowl 24, Schuyler had a two-wing lead, 193-191, over Bertoletti. Schuyler led by 20 wings, 394-374, heading into the final two-minute blitz. Last year, she blew her during the final two minutes.

This year, she did not.

"We're just happy if me and her finish one and two," Bertoletti Thursday on the 94WIP Morning Show.

"You heave, you leave" is the No. 1 rule in Wing Bowl and a record seven eaters were disqualified from Wing Bowl 24 --- six for throwing up, one for cheating.

Notorious B.O.B, a local eater, was a distant third with 306 wings.
