Top Under 21 Clubs In Philadelphia
For the under 21 crowd, it can be difficult to find a club or other social venue where it is legal to hang out. Establishments that sell alcohol generally require patrons to be 21 to enter, and certainly 21 to purchase alcohol. School-related or other community social gatherings are good alternatives, but the 18-and-over crowd may be out of school. Luckily, there are a number of quality under-21 clubs in the greater Philadelphia area.

Housed in a large warehouse, Shampoo Nightclub, located on Willow Street between 7th and 8th Streets, is one of the oldest under 21 clubs in the city. The club is open from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday. On Wednesday nights, Shampoo's parties are now held at Blurr Nightclub, located at 29 S. Bank Street. "Take over Friday," with DJ Diamond Kuts at Blurr, allows 18- to 20-year-olds in to party, but they have to be 21 to drink. Check the website for weekly and special events.

Club 212 in Phoenixville is one of the hottest clubs for the under 21 crowd. On certain Sundays, when school is out on Monday, the Revive Teen Session Sunday is open for the 14-19 crowd. Dance to some of the best club DJs in the area. Be aware that there is a dress code that is strictly enforced. Revive also sponsors teen events at Reading, Quakertown, Allentown and soon in Philadelphia and West Chester, as well as other locations.

A mega dance club for the 15-20 crowd, Zodiac Dance Club, located in Harrisburg, features DJs, video games, pool tables, a soda and juice bar and a lounge. The club was recently renovated and a new light and sound system was added. The facility is housed in a two-story building. The first level is dedicated to the lounge and game area, both levels have soda and juice bars and the second level is the dance floor area with a lounge area. Zodiac has a strictly enforced dress code.

Friday nights at the Roxxy, on Delaware Avenue, are open to the 17- to 20-year-olds looking to party. Guests must be 21 to drink. Featuring music from some of the best DJs in the area, the bar has two rooms in which to party. There is a flirt lounge as well. Voted the number one dance club in the city, the club hosts various special events.

Rolling Thunder Skating Center hosts numerous special events for adults, families, teens and kids. Thursdays are reserved for adults, 21 and older. In addition to special events, the center is available for private parties. Halloween and other holiday skating parties are held throughout the year and roll back Mondays feature reduced admission. Special teen events are scheduled at different times throughout the year.
