Tech in Motion’s Gaming Expo


6 – 8 p.m., FREE

Let your inner gamer out in all its glory at this Tech in Motion event. In addition to refreshments and a DJ, guests can meet and mingle with video game industry bigwigs and check out gaming demos.

‘Staches & Spirits

Don your best coiff – whether on your face or on your head – and check out the Historical Society’s ‘Staches & Spirits event. From regrettable styles like the mullet to the classic Rachel, the party is a nod towards memorable looks from the past to the present.

Philly Film Fest Opening Night: “Birdman”


8:30 p.m., $20 ($50 for film and party)

Kickoff the start of the 23rd annual Philly Film Fest at this party, featuring a screening of the new film, “Birdman,” which centers on a washed-up actor (Michael Keaton) who tries to stage a comeback on Broadway. This comedy also stars Zach Galifianakis, Naomi Watts and Emma Stone. Afterwards, you can enjoy drinks, light bites and music at the Kimmel Center.
