During the summer months, being outside as much as possible is a top priority, even when it comes to dancing. Although nightclubs are usually found inside, there are a few outdoor decks and rooftops throughout the city where you can get your groove on. Cavanaugh’s River Deck is located directly on the Delaware River and is a restaurant, bar and nightclub. The dance floor is huge and features guest DJs and themed events throughout the summer. Fun nights at Cavanaugh’s River Deck include dancing to popular tunes, foam pits and mechanical bull rides. Only opened during the summer and on Friday and Saturday, Bamboo Bar hosts many theme nights including foam parties, all-white parties and beach parties. The club also has bikini contests and a small pool you can take a dip in. Bamboo Bar features many specials including cheap drinks, 83-ounce fishbowls and ladies are free before 10. The events are typically 17 to enter, 21 to drink.
