PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia's health centers are now offering free COVID-19 vaccines to children ages 6 months to 5 years old. The clinics are distributing both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to both kids and adults.

Many of the centers do not require an appointment, you can just walk in and get vaccinated.

Health officials say it is important children are protected when they return to school in the fall.

City officials say 77% of kids 12 and older in Philadelphia are vaccinated.
