Average Price Of Gas Per Gallon Hits Record-High Nationwide, AAA Says
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Americans are now paying on average $5 per gallon for gas across the nation. It's the first time that's ever happened, according to AAA.
Drivers in the Philadelphia metro area have been paying those prices on average for the last week. On Saturday, the average price is $5.12 per gallon.
New Jersey matches the current national average, where drivers are paying $5 per gallon.
Northern Delaware is just one penny below the national average, at $4.99 a gallon.
