Person Of Interest In Custody After West Philadelphia Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man was shot multiple times throughout his body and killed in West Philadelphia on Friday, police say. The shooting occurred on the 3800 block of Poplar Street around 4:15 p.m.

The man was transported to Presbyterian Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:53 p.m., according to officials.

A person of interest was taken into custody, but no weapons were recovered.
