Kennett Square Police Investigating Potential Fraud Case After Suspect Claims To Have Been Displaced By Fire
CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) -- Kennett Square police say they are investigating a potential fraud case after a suspect claimed to have been displaced by a fire. Police say the unnamed suspect claimed that they were displaced by a January fire at Victory Brewing.
Police say the suspect's employer, friends and members of the local YMCA raised money to help.
Police say they are investigating possible theft by deception.
Anyone who suspects they were scammed should contact police.
