Police: 13-Year-Old Girl Struck By Stray Bullet While Sitting On Couch Inside North Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 13-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet while she was sitting on the couch in her home in North Philadelphia Friday afternoon. The shooting happened on the 2000 block of West York Street around 3:45 p.m.

Police say the girl was shot once in the left calf when the bullet went through the house and couch and hit her.

She was transported to Temple University Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Police are looking for a silver vehicle that the shooter may have been in.
