Coronavirus Latest: Gas Prices In New Jersey, Across Nation Keep Falling Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Gas prices in New Jersey and across the nation continue to fall amid the coronavirus epidemic with the average price of a gallon of unleaded gas nationwide dipping below $2 for the first time in four years. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.15, down seven cents from a week ago.

Drivers were paying $2.70 a gallon a year ago at this time.

Analysts expect gas prices to continue to fall as lower crude oil prices "combine with the realities of people staying home and less demand for gas."
