Pennsylvania House Votes To Ban Drivers From Using Handheld Phones For Calls

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Drivers beware. Pennsylvania could soon add a new crackdown on distracted driving. The state House voted Wednesday to ban drivers from using handheld phones for calls.

However, that would only be a secondary offense, meaning police would have to see you commit another traffic violation before pulling you over.

It's already illegal to text and drive.

The bill now heads to the Senate.
