Watch: SUV Plunges Into New Jersey River After Driver Hits Gas Instead Of Brake
HACKENSACK, N.J. (CBS) -- An SUV plunged into the Hackensack River in North Jersey on Tuesday. The fire department says the 64-year-old driver hit the gas instead of the brake after getting a car wash.
A witness ended up pulling the drive and a passenger out. They suffered minor injuries.
Officials say it's up to the car wash to put up a gate to stop vehicles.
So far there has been no comment from the business.
