Fire Engulfs 2 Homes In Sea Isle City, Officials Say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A fire engulfed two homes in Sea Isle City on Sunday morning, officials say. Officers observed heavy smoke and fire in the rear of 209 75th Street early Sunday morning.
Officers assisted in evacuating the home and neighboring homes as the fire quickly spread to 213 75th Street.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5:22 a.m. and began working to place the fire under control.
A Sea Isle City Firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling the fire. The firefighter was transported to an area hospital.
A witness sent Eyewitness News footage of firefighters pouring water on the massive blaze.
The fire was placed under control by 6:11 a.m. with the help of multiple fire departments.
Four residential units were damaged in the fire.
No word on what started the fire.
