BALA CYNWYD, Pa. (CBS) — A man working on a tree was shocked in Bala Cynwyd. The incident happened around 11:30 a.m.

Officials say a tree company was cutting a tree down when the branch swayed and came into contact with an overhead SEPTA electric line.

The contractor was walking past the truck and came into contact with the bumper. The electricity traveled down through the truck and shocked the worker.

When paramedics arrived, the contractor was lying on the ground conscious and awake, however, he was severely injured.

He was taken to Lankenau Hospital.
