2 Officers, 2 Civilians Injured In Crash In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Two police officers and two civilians were injured after a crash in Wilmington on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to 2nd and Adams Streets, around 11 a.m.

Police say a marked Wilmington Police car was traveling northbound on Adams Street when it was struck by a civilian vehicle that was traveling westbound on 2nd Street.

Chopper 3 was over the scene where a white Lincoln Town Car and a Wilmington police cruiser could be seen at the intersection.

The two Wilmington officers were taken to Christiana ER with minor injuries.

The two civilians in the Lincoln Town Car were transported to St. Francis ER also with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
