PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia has many famous firsts, including the distinction of being home to America’s first zoo.

And for generations of families a visit to the zoo is great way to spend a summer day.

But in addition to all the history, there’s also a lot that’s new at the zoo. CBS3 got a chance to check it out and get up close with some of the zoo’s most famous residents.
