Couple Names Daughter 'Eclipse' After Being Born During Celestial Event

SOUTH CAROLINA (CBS) -- Over in South Carolina, the eclipse was overshadowed Monday as soon as a little ray of sunshine was born.

Her parents say they had the name "Violet" picked out for months but they decided to name their daughter "Eclipse."

Since this was the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse in nearly a century, Eclipse's parents figured her name should be just as rare and meaningful.
