Police Recount Rescuing Deer From River

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police officers had an unusual rescue Thursday night.

Officers responded to the 500 block of South Columbus Boulevard, around 8 p.m.

Townsends Inlet Bridge Set To Reopen Friday

They were called to rescue a deer that got stuck in the water near Penn's Landing.

After about 30 minutes and multiple attempts, rescue crews managed to pull the deer onto their boat.
