Parents Furious After Grinch No-Show At Pa. Mall

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--It's a week before Christmas and some parents in Pennsylvania claim the Grinch stole part of their holiday.

Parents say they paid money for their kids to take pictures with the Grinch at the Neshaminy Mall, but when they arrived they were disappointed only to find Santa.

"It was a rotten experience, she was very disappointed," said Lisa Kots.

Kots paid nearly $40 in advance for a photo package of her 8-year-old daughter Ava, but when they arrived for their Sunday afternoon appointment the Grinch was a no-show.

"I am looking straight ahead and I see Santa with all the kids and I said, 'I don't see the Grinch, the whole point that we came was to get our picture with the Grinch.'"

But the Grinch would not be returning at all.

Kots says many angry parents took to Facebook venting out about their disappointing in the Grinch's absence.

Parents tell CBS 3 they were never given any official notification from the mall.

It's still unclear why the mall pulled the Grinch from the photo shoots.

In individual Facebook responses, the mall commented that it was only due to "unfortunate circumstances."

CBS 3 has reached out to mall management and the photography company but have not heard back.
