Pennsylvania's Favorite Holiday Cookie, According To Google

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Google has released search data for a number of different categories for 2016. The data shows what people are searching for and includes regional breakdowns.

In the spirit of the holiday, Google's breakdown also shows the top holiday cookies searched for in each state. What would this time of year be without the perfect cookie to enjoy and of course, leave for Santa.

So, what cookies were the most searched for in our region?

For Pennsylvania, it was pumpkin cookies, which were the second most searched for cookie, coming up as the top search in 11 states. In New Jersey, it was all about oatmeal cookies and in Delaware it was apple pie cookies.

New Jersey was not alone in choosing the oatmeal cookie, a staple this time of year. In fact, 25 states had oatmeal cookies as their most searched for. Delaware stood out with its searches for apple pie cookies.
