Ben Carson: 'Think About Your Children And Grandchildren'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Former Republican presidential candidate and supporter of Donald Trump told Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT that voters need to put what is best for the country ahead of their own interests when they vote on November 8th and that, he believes, is casting a vote for Trump.

"Think about what is at stake here. We're not talking about Trump or Clinton, we're talking about whether or not we're going to have a country that is of, for and by the people or a country that is of, for and by the government. It's not about whether we like this candidate or like that candidate, it's about the platforms and the direction of which they will take the country and you must think about your children, your grandchildren and everybody else who's coming behind us and not your own personal sensibilities."

Despite trailing significantly in the polls, Carson thinks Trump is going take the White House because voters will reject prevailing media narratives about the race and the establishment class in Washington.

"I think he's going to win. I don't think the American people are that easily fooled. I know the mainstream media and the political elites think that they can manipulate them at will, but I don't think the American people like being manipulated."
