Career Wardrobe Celebrates Expansion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia non-profit that provides clothing for women headed back to work is celebrating its expansion into the six county areas.

The sixth annual Empowering Tea and Fashion Show showcases style from the Career Wardrobe Re-Sale Boutique, as well as local designers in residence. And for the first time, they're holding the event in Delaware County, to celebrate the group's recent expansion.

"We're seeing a lot of men and women access our services there in Chester."

Career Wardrobe Executive Director Sheri Cole said the non-profit is now available in Delaware, Chester, Berks, Bucks and Montgomery County, thanks to a state grant, but it can only be used to help individuals who are on public assistance.

"By raising money in Delaware County from that community from this event and other events, we'll be able to open our doors to anyone who needs our services."

The Empowering Tea & Fashion Show takes place next Saturday at the Radnor in Wayne in partnership with EY, PECO, Thomas Edison State University and QVC.

Tickets for the event start at $80, $40 for kids 12 and under. For more information and tickets, please call (215) 568-6693 or visit www.careerwardrobe.org.
