Morgan's Pier Hosts 'Worst In Show' Dog Competition For A Good Cause
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An Old City bar hosted a unique pet contest to help raise money for a good cause.
Morgan's Pier and Tito's Vodka teamed up on Sunday to host a Dog "Yappy Hour" benefiting the Pennsylvania SPCA.
Dogs and their owners are invited to take part in the "Worst in Show" competition, based off of the World's Ugliest Dog contest. Pups have an opportunity to win some sweet prizes while their pet parents can sip on dog-inspired cocktails like the "American Mutt," a twist on the American Mule drink. All proceeds of the drink sale benefit the PSPCA; $1 from all other drinks on the Yappy Hour menu will also be donated to the cause.
To help out the PSPCA in a different way, people can adopt one of their dogs who will be roaming about the bar, waiting to meet their prospective new owner.
The event is being held from 2-6 p.m.
