PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The coming of fall and falling gas prices have sparked weekend migrations in search of gems from the past. KYW’s Jay Lloyd looks at flea market getaways.

It was John Denver who had the nation singing about country roads. Here, the arrival of fall has us looking for weekend drives among silos and pastures on a quest for bits of our youth.

“From the Philadelphia area all the way up into Lancaster and into the Reading area,” said Dan Gordon,

Gordon has a busy shop at the Powerhouse flea market on day trip country getaways to markets in and near Collegeville, Perkiomenville, Gilbertsville, Adamstown and New Hope. So what are people looking for?

“A lot of people love to get those old trucks that they had in the 50’s and 60’s,” he said, “even old bicycles.”
