Local Youth Baseball Teams Continue To Advance
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's hard to keep up.
So many youth baseball organizations in the Delaware County are experiencing success and many of them are headed to play in their respective league's regional or even national tournaments.
Here's a quick roundup.
Marlton Reds - 12 under
- The 12-year-old Marlton Reds are headed to the Cal Ripken World Series after winning the Mid-Atlantic Regionals
- First game: Friday, July 29th at 8pm

Pine Forge Indians - 16 to 18
- The 16 to 18-year-old Pine Forge Indians are headed to the 2016 Senior Babe Ruth League World Series in Ephrata, WA after winning the Mid Atlantic Regional Championship
- First game: Saturday, August 6th
Medford, NJ - 11 under

- Won the 11-under District 5 Cal Ripken Jr. Southern NJ State Title
- Now play in the mid-Atlantic regional tournament (10 teams): NY, PA, Delaware, Maryland
- Begins Friday, July 29th
- They lost in mid-Atlantic regional tournament semi-finals last year, so revenge is on their mind
Upper Providence (Montgomery County) - 11 under
- Won the section 8 Little League championship for second straight year
- Now headed to the Little League State Tournament
Lionville - 10u and 11u
- Lionville 9-10-year-olds and 10-11-year-olds will play in the Pennsylvania Little League World Series state tournament.
Daniel Boone (Berks County) - 8 under
- Won Cal Ripken State Championship
- Currently 25-0-1
- Headed to the Mid-Atlantic finals in Rome, NY
- Mid-Atlantic tournament begin Friday, July 29th
2016 Little League State Tournament In Gloucester City, New Jersey
- The state tournament will run from Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31
Thursday, July 28th night double-header (6pm, 8pm) at 32 North Johnson Blvd, Gloucester City, NJ 08030:
- Section 2 champion Rutherford vs Section 4 champion Upper Township
- Section 1 champion Randolph West vs. Section 3 champion Freehold Township
