May Day: Rally For Change In West Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - People braved the rain in Clark Park Sunday for the day filled with food and fun, but they did not forget the fight for worker's rights.

This was all part of the 9th annual May Day.

It back all the way to the 1880's, honoring workers who have died in the struggle for an eight hour work day.

The focus Sunday shifted to the fight for $15 minimum wage, and other issues.

"We're all connected," say organizers Paul Grubb, "working people throughout the world. The 99-percent if you will are in a world of hurt, searching for a new wave forward."

May 1st is International Worker's Day.
