Trump Supporters Not Laughing At Local Brewery's Anti-Donald Beer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Supporters of Donald Trump are firing back at a Southwest Philadelphia brewery that is mocking the Republican Presidential front-runner.

Dock Street has kicked off its "Friends Don't let Friends Vote Drumph" series with a Short Fingered Stout.

"Drumph" is in reference to the Trump family's original name. Comedian John Oliver exposed it during a takedown of the candidate earlier this year.

Although the anti-Trump beer is available only in the brewpub, word spread like wildfire. Trump supporters heard about it and quickly pounced, sending vitriolic emails and phone calls to Dock Street.

"What the Trump supporters said was we were just doing it for publicity so that we will sell more beer," says Dock Street owner Rosemarie Certo. "But they're not going to buy our beer and they're going to make sure they never buy our beer."

Trump's rants about building a wall and cracking down on immigrants in general struck a nerve with Certo, who hails from Sicily. But she and her staff are trying to temper their criticism with humor. For instance, the brewery's website describes Short Fingered Stout as "a bitter and delusional stout with an airy, light-colored head atop a so-so body."

The idea for the beer may be clever, but Trump fans aren't laughing. They're accusing Certo of being a publicity hound bent on cashing in on the election.

"We're not in politics," Certo says. "We're into making beer and stating what our values are, and we've done that, for better or for worse. We're finished."

Other labels that are whimsically political include 'Blonde Throwback' and 'Pathological Lager.'

"Pathological Lager. I think we're going to make it but not use it for Trump," Certo says. "I mean, a pathological lager? You could plug that into any politician, right? Exactly my point."
