Report: Philadelphia 2nd Most Expensive City To Throw A Wedding In U.S.
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It is no secret weddings can be pricey, but to have a wedding in the City of Brotherly Love will really cost you a pretty penny.
The cost of throwing a wedding in Philadelphia comes only second to New York City, says Thumbtack.com.

The report finds the average cost of a wedding in Philadelphia is over $15,000.
"At $5,009 on average, catering is the biggest expense for weddings in the Philadelphia metro area. Wedding makeup ($225 avg.) was the least expensive service, while Limousine rental in Philadelphia ($635 avg.) was more expensive than in any other city on our list."
It is worth noting this report includes services only, excluding items like the venue, dress and rings.

Last year, wedding planning website The Knot found Philadelphia the seventh most expensive place to wed, with the average celebration costing $44,090.
