PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Police are investigating the theft of an ATM lockbox which was holding $18,000 in cash.

It happened Thursday afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say an employee was working on the ATM machine inside the Family Deli near Penn and Church Streets just before 2 p.m.

He had placed the lockbox from the ATM inside his work pickup truck outside.

The man told police his i-Phone and the lockbox were removed from the truck.

Police say the lockbox contained the $18,000 in cash.
