Action Taken Following Threat To Cherry Hill High School

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) – Cherry Hill Police and school administrators were notified Sunday of a threatening text message involving Cherry Hill High School East.

The message circulated social media over the weekend.

Cherry Hill Public Schools superintendent Joseph Meloche sent out a letter saying a juvenile has been charged with one count of "making a false public alarm."

He said police have checked the school and will continue to do so overnight. There will also be increased police presence on Monday.
