Mayor Kenney's Inaugural "Block Party" Bucks Tradition

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Philadelphia has a new mayor who's got a unique way to celebrate his first day in office.

And let's just say, it involves many food trucks!

Mayor Jim Kenney opted out of a limo ride, and he also opted out of the Inaugural Ball formality, which is they're celebrating with the "block party" lined with food trucks.

About 1500 attendees can enjoy stuff from trucks serving mini cup cakes, barbecue ribs, sausage and peppers, meatballs... and that's naming JUST a few.

Our Vittoria Woodill is at the Convention Center where the party is kicking off.
