TOWNSEND, Del., (CBS) — The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a deadly fire in Townsend, New Castle County.

The State Fire Marshal says the fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Pine Tree Road.

According to the Fire Marshal, the fire was discovered inside a camper on the property.  One person was found deceased inside the camper, according to the Fire Marshal.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.

State fire investigators are on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause.
