At Chip Kelly's Request, Angelo Cataldi Delivers Eagles A 'Winning' Pie

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The pies are back!

Let's hearken back for a second. The year was 2013. It was Chip Kelly's first season as Eagles head coach. The team won seven of their final eight games, everything was hearts and rainbows, and SportsRadio 94WIP's Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi was delivering pecan pies to Kelly, the city's beloved coach (the Eagles even put the pies in their cartoon!).

On Monday, during their weekly phone call conversation on the 94WIP Morning Show, Kelly requested Cataldi starts delivering the good luck pies again. Check out the exchange below.

Listen: Chip Kelly on the 94WIP Morning Show

Angleo Cataldi: A win in New England "changes everything, right?"

Chip Kelly: "It does change everything. And that's what we're trying to do. And maybe you can send us a pie. You did that two years ago and it seemed to jump start us. Remember that Angelo? Remember those days?"

Cataldi: "Do you want a pie Chip? Do you need a pie?

Kelly: "We all need a pie Angelo."

Cataldi: "I think it might be time for a pie."

Kelly: "It might be time for a pie. We'll go down and make a run and get to the playoffs then, and we want to talk about the turning point in the season. It's when you sent us a pie."

Cataldi: "What kind you want?"

Kelly: "A winning kind."

True to his word, on Thursday, Cataldi delivered the pies to the NovaCare Complex. One pecan, one blueberry, and one cherry pie.

Now, we wait. And hope the pies bring Kelly and the Eagles good luck.
