CLIFTON, NJ (CBS) — New Jersey State Police have released video of the apprehension of an Amber Alert suspect wanted in the alleged abduction of his 3-year-old daughter.

New Jersey State Police wrote on their Facebook page: ‘Yesterday, troopers and detectives from Bloomfield Station located and arrested a suspect as a result of an Amber Alert. Troopers never know how a suspect will react. These types of situations are extremely dangerous and volatile. It could have gone badly yesterday, but thankfully it didn’t. No one was hurt, and that’s the most important thing.’

State troopers stopped the suspect, identified as Diomedes Valenzuela, on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton, New Jersey Tuesday evening.

Authorities say the little girl, who was allegedly abducted, is safe.
