PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philly Pops presents their annual “Christmas Spectacular” December 4 through the 22.

Michael Krajewski, music director and conductor of the Philly Pops talked about the event.

“The Christmas Spectacular has really become a tradition here in Philadelphia. So many people find that this is one of the best ways for them to get into the true spirit of Christmas.”

Krajewski explained how this year’s show is different from other years.

The great Broadway vocalist Lisa Vroman, so she has never participated in this program. Well you know we always change up the musical selections, we’re always making sure that the pieces are traditional, recognizable but that they are going to hear in a new way performed by the Philly Pops and all the wonderful choruses and soloists and so on.”
