Talk of a serial burglar is a hot but rather unwanted topic in Haddonfield. Home to as vibrant a main street as you’ll find in America- and quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods.

“I think people do have a false sense of security at times and people let their guard down,” Det. Sgt. Stephen Camiscioli tells Eyewitness News.

Police say sometime between midnight and 4 am, a burglar entered three homes and tried going into four more.

The ones he got in had unlocked doors and windows- the four he tried to break into were locked, so he left.

“They’re entering and leaving and they don’t discover it until the morning until they come down to go to work and discover their stuff missing, like they’re cell phone and in some cases they found the door ajar,” Camiscioli said.
