More Companies Making It Easier To Online Shop While On The Clock

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – For most employees, online shopping at work is against the rules, but this holiday season more and more companies are beginning to relax that boundary.

A new survey from the Robert Half staffing agency found 25 percent of companies now allow unrestricted access to shopping sites.

Another 48 percent of businesses allow it, but they monitor workers for excessive use.

One in five employees said they actually feel more productive because they don't have to leave the office to shop.

But not everyone is allowed to bargain hunt online just yet.

Twenty-five percent of the companies surveyed say they still block online access to shopping sites completely.
