Police Identify Woman, Man Killed In Burlington County Accident

SOUTHAMPTON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 29-year-old woman and 31-year-old man who died when a Chevrolet pickup truck struck her on a southern New Jersey road.

New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn said Friday the accident happened about 2 p.m. Thursday along southbound U.S. 206 in Southampton when the pickup truck being driven by Patrick Miller, of New Hanover, struck Allison McGinnis as she jogged along the road.

Flynn says the truck was heading north but crossed into the southbound lanes, struck McGinnis, hit trees then overturned.

McGinnis and David Eldridge, of Wrightstown, who was a passenger in the truck, died at the scene.

Miller was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital where is being treated for a serious injury.

No charges have been filed.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
