PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pro-marijuana activists are scheduled to gather in Love Park on Friday for a rally to demand the legalization of the drug.

The rally, which includes members of the East Coast Cannabis Coalition and The Panic Hour, begins at 4 p.m. and calls for the public smoking of marijuana at 4:20 p.m. and a march to U.S. Senators Casey and Toomey’s offices and Gov. Wolf’s office.

Organizers are said to be responding to “a series of roadblocks” by Pennsylvania legislators who have delayed Senate Bill 3 on medical marijuana.

Pennsylvania is the only state in the Northeast without a medical marijuana program.

Approximately 1,500 people are reportedly slated to attend the protest.
