Police: Woman Falsely Tells Officers A Child Was Inside Her Stolen Car In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police say a woman lied to officers, saying a four-year-old was in the back seat of her car after it was stolen Friday morning in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
According to police, the woman was buying drugs around 6 a.m. on the 2800 block of Kensington Avenue when someone stole her car.
She then called police and made up that there was a child in the car to get a bigger and quicker response, police say.
She later admitted the story was a lie.
