PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Authorities across the country are ramping up security heading into the holiday weekend. “There are no specific threats targeting any location,” Supervisory Special Agent J.J. Klaver with the FBI in Philadelphia told Eyewitness News on Wednesday.

“There are groups that want to target our nation’s critical infrastructure and symbolic locations,” Klaver said.
Tourists packed Independence Mall on Wednesday and many say they are aware of the threat, but will continue to enjoy the holiday.
“Am I going to go hide in my house and lock my doors and pull down my shades? No. I’m not going to do that because life is worth living,” Kate Baker told Eyewitness News.MORE NEWS: Police Investigating Series Of Gunpoint Robberies In Center City, West Philadelphia
Authorities won’t say how many officers, uniformed and undercover, will be in the area. If anyone sees anything suspicious, Klaver said to call police.
