PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Malik Rose will, apparently, be staying in Philadelphia.
READ MORE: 4th Of July Parade, Concert Taking Over Philadelphia TodayYahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported early Thursday, that Rose was offered a role from his former San Antonio Spurs teammate Avery Johnson, as special assistant to the head coach of the University of Alabama.

After retiring from NBA in 2009, Rose has found his niche working as the Sixers’ TV analyst alongside long-time play-by-play announcer Marc Zumoff. Rose, a former Overbrook high school and Drexel University stand out, has become a fan favorite in Philadelphia.
