Police: 2 Deaths After Standoff In Kensington Appear To Be Murder-Suicide
PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — Police say the deaths of two men whose bodies were found inside a Philadelphia row home after a standoff appear to have been a murder-suicide.
Officers responded shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday to the city's Kensington neighborhood after a report of a person with a gun and gunshots.
Police said the responding officers immediately came under fire from someone inside the home, and several police and emergency vehicles were hit by gunfire.
Police said a gunshot was heard from inside the home at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, and a SWAT team entered the home at 4 p.m. and found the two bodies.
A police spokeswoman said Sunday that it appeared that a 25-year-old man shot another man in his twenties and then killed himself. Their identities weren't immediately available.
