PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a man was shot by accident in the city’s Fairhill section overnight.

Around 4:45 a.m., a 53-year-old male was shot in the calf at Front and Lippincott Streets; however, that man was not the intended target.

Police say the shooting was the result of some sort of altercation between a man on a bike and another person.

The man on the bike reportedly turned around and shot at the other person, striking the victim.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.
