2 Suspects In Custody After Allegedly Stealing Truck In Chester
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two suspects are in custody after allegedly stealing a truck in Chester this morning.
Chopper 3 was over the scene at 16th and Ritner in South Philadelphia where a police pursuit ended.
Police say they tried to pull the truck over in Chester, but the driver sped off.
The pursuit ended when the truck got into a minor collision with a car.
That's when the suspects tried to run.
One of them was caught by Lt. James D'Angelo of the Philadelphia Police Intelligence Unit.
The other suspect was nabbed soon after.
One man was stopped at a stop sign and saw the chase unfold.
Anthony Raiola says, "All of the sudden, she gets rear-ended terribly in back of me. I don't know what's going on. I turn around and there's two kids running up the street and state troopers are big time chasing them."
Both suspects are now being questioned by police.
No one was injured.
